Bradley B. (NAJ), Chase G. (PHS) and Dakota L.(WHS) are part of the
Autonomous Innovative Vehicle Design Challenge. Students start with a standard Barbie Jeep and modify as needed to complete the assigned tasks.
Utilizing Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or Beagle Bone technology, sensors, and other hardware, Autonomous IVD vehicles must traverse challenge courses and avoid obstacles without driver assistance! Thanks to our amazing industry partner umlaut for their technical and financial support! Student teams compete at the Innovative Vehicle Design Challenge Day in performance, engineering and craftsmanship, design innovation, ambassadorship, and presentation categories and this year’s umlaut Innovation Award and scholarship program!
